25th Annual Gospel Music Expo Coming to Van Wert, Ohio

The Family Life Center/Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert will host the 25th Annual Gospel Music Expo on March 20, 21, and 22. The event originated in 2001 through the vision of Cheryl Burk, Kim Mason, and Gary Adams, who formed the gospel group Trinity.

Initially a one-night event, it expanded over the years to a three-night format, featuring various gospel groups and soloists from multiple states including Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan, New York, and Kentucky.

The grand finale on Sunday, March 22, will feature Trinity and The Guardians, a Southern Gospel quartet known for their unique sound and harmony. All three nights are free, supported by sponsors and freewill offerings.

A food court will be available, and attendees can interact with ministries at product tables. The event celebrates 25 years of bringing gospel music to the community and showcasing talented performers from across the region.

Gospel music continues to be a vital part of African American Christian culture, with roots in spirituals and a rich tradition of expressing faith through music. The genre has evolved over the years while maintaining its spiritual foundation and community focus.
