Anthropic Launches 10 AI Agents Built for the Financial Industry

Anthropic has launched 10 AI agents built for the financial industry, covering tasks from pitchbook drafting to compliance escalation.

The agents are designed to handle specific workflows that financial professionals repeat daily. They can draft investor presentations, flag compliance issues, and escalate cases that require human review.

The launch comes as demand for AI agents in enterprise settings is growing fast. A recent survey found that 38 percent of organizations are piloting AI agents, but only 11 percent have them running in production. Analysts say the gap reflects how hard it is to redesign workflows around AI rather than simply layering it on top of existing processes.

Gartner has predicted that 40 percent of agentic AI projects will fail by 2027 if companies automate broken processes instead of rethinking how work gets done.

Anthropic is not alone in targeting finance. Rogo secured $160 million for its AI platform that helps financial professionals with research and modeling. Sierra, an AI customer-service startup, raised $950 million to build agents for enterprise customer interactions.

The White House is also weighing an executive order that would create a government-industry working group to review advanced AI models before public release. Google DeepMind, Microsoft, and xAI have already agreed to let the U.S. Commerce Department's AI safety unit review their new models.
