Apple Unveils HomeView Smart Home Hub at $299, Available November 13

Apple announced the HomeView on October 13, 2026, a $299 smart home hub with a 7-inch Liquid Retina display powered by an A18 chip and an upgraded version of Siri AI. The device goes on sale November 13.

The HomeView is designed to serve as a central controller for smart home devices and personal Apple services. It recognizes up to six individual faces and provides each user with personalized access to Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My. The display adjusts the amount of information shown based on how close the user is standing.

The device includes a custom acoustic system with two full-range drivers and a down-firing woofer. It is available in four colors: silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray.

Apple offers two configurations. The tabletop model sits on a metal speaker base. A wall-mounted version, available in space gray and silver, is designed for hallways or entryways and uses third-party mounts from Schneider Home.

The HomeView acts as a smart home hub, coordinating with cameras, thermostats, and locks through the Apple Home Collection, a partnership with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. It can stream up to nine video feeds at the same time.

Siri AI on the HomeView provides what Apple calls 'onscreen awareness' and 'personal context understanding,' allowing users to ask broad questions or take action across apps. Conversations can sync via iCloud to iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches.

The device was announced alongside preorders opening the same day.
