CeCe Winans won the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026.

She shared the award with Pastor Shirley Caesar for their collaboration "Come Jesus Come." The win gave Winans her 18th Grammy, tying Aretha Franklin for second among Detroit-area artists in Grammy wins.

Other nominees in the category included Kirk Franklin for "Do It Again," Tasha Cobbs Leonard and John Legend for "Church," Jonathan McReynolds and Jamal Roberts for "Still (Live)," and Pastor Mike Jr. for "Amen."

In the Best Gospel Album category, Darrel Walls and PJ Morton won for "Heart of Mine." The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir took home Best Roots Gospel Album for "I Will Not Be Moved (Live)."

Israel and New Breed won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for "Coritos Vol. 1," while Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll won Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Hard Fought Hallelujah."

Tasha Cobbs Leonard also won the first-ever NAACP Image Award for her album "TASHA" in February 2026.

The gospel music industry has seen strong growth, with Christian and gospel music recording an 18.5 percent increase in on-demand audio streams in 2025, outpacing other genres.
