Conference of National Black Churches Sets December Summit in Orlando, Focuses on Health Equity
The Conference of National Black Churches announced its 2026 Annual Consultation will be held December 15-17 in Orlando, Florida. The gathering will focus on health equity and faith-driven social change, building on a partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The Conference of National Black Churches (CNBC) will hold its 2026 Annual Consultation on December 15-17 in Orlando, Florida, the organization announced in October.
The CNBC represents seven of the largest historically Black denominations in the United States. This year's summit will center on health equity and the role of Black churches in driving social change at the community level.
The conference builds on a partnership the CNBC launched earlier in 2026 with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. That initiative placed faith-driven health programs in key cities including Atlanta, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, New York, Southern California, and the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region.
Church leaders have described the Black church as a "gap-filler" for communities that lack adequate access to healthcare, education, and civic resources. The December summit will include sessions on maternal health, mental wellness, and strategies for engaging younger generations in church-based community work.
The CNBC also plans to address demographic shifts within Black congregations, including the growing presence of Black immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean who are joining historically Black denominations and bringing new perspectives on mission and evangelism.
Registration details for the December summit are available through the CNBC's official website.
