Dallas Theological Seminary Sets Record With 2,657 Students Enrolled for Fall 2026

Dallas Theological Seminary announced on September 14, 2026, that it enrolled 2,657 students for the fall semester, the highest fall enrollment in the school's history.

The figure surpasses the previous record of 2,651 students, which was set in fall 2023. John Dyer, the seminary's Vice President of Enrollment Services and Educational Technologies, said the growth reflects the school's ability to serve students across a wide range of ministry and vocational contexts.

"We are seeing students from diverse backgrounds and ministry settings choosing DTS," Dyer said. "Our flexible delivery options and scholarship support have made a real difference."

The seminary offers degrees in theology, biblical studies, and ministry leadership, with programs available both on campus in Dallas and online. Officials said improved student retention efforts, including enhanced academic support and online resources, also contributed to the record numbers.

DTS was founded in 1924 and has trained more than 14,000 graduates for ministry worldwide. The school's official website notes a community of approximately 2,600 students, consistent with the newly announced enrollment figure.

The announcement comes as several evangelical seminaries across the country have reported enrollment challenges in recent years. DTS officials said they view the record as a sign of continued demand for rigorous theological education.
