Daywind Music Publishing announced on September 1, 2026, that it has signed Autumn Nelon Streetman to an exclusive songwriting contract, marking a new creative chapter for the gospel artist.
Streetman is the granddaughter of the late Rex Nelon, a celebrated figure in Southern gospel music, and the daughter of Jerry Thompson, also an established songwriter. She has been a member of the Nelon family group throughout her career.
"Signing with Daywind Publishing feels just like home," Streetman said in a statement. "Daywind has always been more than a name in this industry. To me, they've been family. They've walked alongside me through so many seasons of my life and have always believed in the music, the ministry, and the message God has placed on my heart."
Rick Shelton, vice president of Daywind Music Publishing, said the company is honored to welcome Streetman to its roster. "Autumn carries one of Gospel music's most treasured legacies as the granddaughter of Rex Nelon," Shelton said. "She has walked through unimaginable loss and experienced remarkable grace. Those experiences have given her a story that resonates deeply with people."
Streetman's most recent song, "I'll Find You," was released July 24, 2026. She co-wrote the track with Joseph Habedank and Kenna Turner West. The song reflects on her longing for heaven following the tragic loss of family members in July 2024.
Daywind Music Publishing says more new music from Streetman is expected later in the fall of 2026.
