Christian artist Forrest Frank announced on October 23, 2026, that a documentary film called "The Jesus Generation" will come to theaters in 2027.
The film documents his 2026 "Jesus Generation Tour," which drew more than 519,000 attendees across 29 cities. The Gospel Music Association has called it the largest-attended Christian music tour in history.
Frank released a teaser trailer on his YouTube and Instagram channels on October 23. The teaser features appearances by Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Sadie Robertson Huff, Jelly Roll, and Philip Anthony Mitchell.
The documentary is being produced in partnership with Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate. Fans can sign up for updates at forrestfrank.com.
The announcement came the same week the GMA confirmed the 58th Annual Dove Awards will return to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville in 2027, reflecting a period of strong momentum for the Christian music industry. U.S. on-demand audio streams for Christian and gospel music grew 18.5 percent in 2025.
Frank, who rose to prominence with his debut album in 2023, has become one of the fastest-growing names in contemporary Christian music. His 2026 tour sold out venues in cities across the country, drawing both longtime churchgoers and younger audiences with little prior connection to faith communities.
