Google Pixel 11 Set for August 12 Reveal with Tensor G6 Chip and New LED Notification Feature

Google has scheduled a Made by Google event in New York City for August 12, 2026, where it is expected to announce the Pixel 11 series. The lineup includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
The phones will be powered by the Tensor G6 chipset, manufactured on a 2nm process. The CPU uses a 1+4+2 core design with ARM C1-Ultra and C1-Pro cores, which are expected to deliver a 15% improvement in CPU performance and 30% better power efficiency compared to the previous generation.
Google is also switching modems. The Pixel 11 series moves from Samsung-branded modems to the MediaTek M90, which supports faster 5G speeds, improved satellite connectivity, and an AI-powered traffic engine that reduces power consumption by an estimated 18%.
A new feature called Pixel Glow integrates an LED array into the camera bar. The system supports eight base colors and is designed to display notifications and respond to interactions with the Gemini assistant.
The base storage tier is moving from 128GB to 256GB, with options up to 1TB. Estimated starting prices for 256GB models are $899 for the Pixel 11, $1,099 for the Pixel 11 Pro, $1,299 for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and $1,899 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The price increases reflect the removal of lower-capacity storage options.
