Gospel Music Chart Highlights New Releases from DJ Allen, The Fosters, and Erica Campbell

Absolutely Gospel Music released its Top 40 chart for April 2026, featuring new singles from DJ Allen and Righteous, The Fosters, and artists from Apple Music's New Gospel 2026 playlist. The Hyssongs also signed with Horizon Records this month.

Absolutely Gospel Music published its Top 40 chart for April 2026, spotlighting a strong month for new releases across Southern gospel, contemporary gospel, and traditional quartet music.

DJ Allen and Righteous released My Rock on March 6, 2026, through EvoWorld Entertainment. The single is a drive-tempo track from a newly formed quartet out of Tupelo, Mississippi. DJ Allen, the lead vocalist, brings what reviewers are calling a veteran traditional energy to a new generation of quartet sound.

The Fosters released a new radio single called What's That I Hear? on April 20. The track is a refreshed classic featuring family harmony and a brass section. The group has been a staple of Southern gospel radio for years.

Apple Music's New Gospel 2026 playlist features 154 songs and highlights artists including Pastor Tauren Wells, Pastor Mike Jr., Erica Campbell, Deitrick Haddon, and MAYIA WARREN, among others.

The Hyssongs, a popular family group, signed with Horizon Records on April 8. The signing was announced at a gospel music industry event and drew attention from fans and radio programmers.

The Blackwood Brothers Quartet joined Don McLean on the Grand Ole Opry stage on April 11. John Arnett joined Sacred Harmony on April 7.

Singing News launched its 2026 Songwriters Search for aspiring Southern Gospel writers on April 6, giving new voices a path to the genre's main stage.

The Top Ten for the 2026 Singing News Fan Awards were announced in March, with voting now open to fans across the country.
