Alabama A&M University has announced that Kirk Franklin will headline its 2026 homecoming gospel concert, set for Sunday, October 11, at the AAMU Event Center in Huntsville.

The event, officially titled "Homecoming Gospel Explosion: Night of Gospel," begins at 6:00 p.m. and serves as the opening feature of the university's homecoming week.

Franklin, a 20-time Grammy Award winner, is known for bridging gospel music with R&B and hip-hop. His catalog includes hits like "Stomp," "Lean on Me," and more recently "Do It Again." He also hosted the 41st Stellar Gospel Music Awards, taped in August 2026 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Joining Franklin on the bill are Todd Dulaney, an award-winning gospel artist and former professional baseball player known for "Victory Belongs to Jesus" and "Your Great Name," and Dante' Pride, an Alabama-based pastor and Christian hip-hop artist.

The concert gives Alabama A&M a nationally recognized headliner for its homecoming week while spotlighting regional gospel talent alongside a major industry figure.

Tickets and additional homecoming schedule details are available through Alabama A&M's official athletics website and social media channels.
