Manny Pacquiao stood before 4,000 Christians in Manila on July 27, 2026, and issued a direct challenge: set a goal, bring souls to the Kingdom, and start this year.

The Arise Asia 2026 Missions Conference, themed "For the Joy" from Hebrews 12:2, drew participants from more than 50 countries to the Philippine capital. The five-day event ran through July 31.

Pacquiao, commissioned as an international evangelist by the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches, spoke on opening night. He shared his shift from a life of gambling and drinking to one of faith, then turned practical.

"Start with two," he told delegates. "Bring two people to Christ this year. Then increase that number next year."

He warned against pride, calling it the greatest barrier to salvation. He urged consistent Bible reading and prayer as guards against compromise.

Bishop Noel Pantoja, National Director of the Philippines Council of Evangelical Churches and chair of the Arise Asia board, led prayers for young believers to rise as effective ambassadors for the gospel.

Pastor Peter Tan-Chi, founder of Christ's Commission Fellowship, reminded delegates that they will give an account of their lives to God. He urged them to run the race of faith with joy and integrity.

The Arise Asia movement launched in 2023 with a focus on equipping young adults across Asia to reach the estimated three billion people who have not yet heard the Christian gospel. The 2026 conference continued that mission with sessions on evangelism strategy, discipleship, and cross-cultural outreach.
