The March for Life organization announced that its 2027 rally, set for January 22 in Washington, D.C., will carry the theme of "truth." Retired Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw will deliver the keynote address at the annual pro-life gathering.
The March for Life organization announced on September 30, 2026, that its 2027 annual rally will center on the theme of "truth," with retired Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
The rally is set for January 22, 2027, in Washington, D.C., marking the 54th annual March for Life. The event draws hundreds of thousands of participants each year and is one of the largest annual gatherings in the nation's capital.
Kershaw, a three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series champion, has been open about his Christian faith throughout his baseball career. He and his wife Ellen have been involved in various charitable and faith-based initiatives, including work in Zambia through their Kershaw's Challenge foundation.
March for Life president Jeanne Mancini said the "truth" theme reflects the organization's commitment to making the case for life based on science, reason, and moral clarity. The announcement comes as the pro-life movement continues to work at the state level following the Supreme Court's 2022 Dobbs decision.
"We are thrilled to have Clayton Kershaw join us," Mancini said. "His faith, his character, and his platform make him an ideal voice for this message."
Kershaw retired from professional baseball in 2024 after a career spent primarily with the Dodgers. He has remained active in faith and community work since leaving the game.
Registration for the 2027 March for Life is expected to open in the coming weeks.
