Middlesex County Gospel Festival Features Grammy Winners Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds

The third annual Middlesex County Gospel Music Festival took place July 25 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Grammy-winning artists Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds headlined the free outdoor event, which drew hundreds of attendees from across the region.

Middlesex County, New Jersey, hosted its third annual Gospel Music Festival on July 25, 2026, in New Brunswick as part of the county's FolkLIVE series.

Grammy-winning gospel artists Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds headlined the free outdoor event. The lineup also included Newark-based group The Group Fire and local performers Tangie Cobb, Valarie Adams, and Bishop George C. Searight & Royal Priesthood.

Toya Beasley and Deonté Griffin-Quick served as emcees for the afternoon program.

County officials said the festival drew hundreds of attendees and was designed to celebrate gospel music as a living tradition in the community. Admission was free and open to the public.

Erica Campbell, known for her work with the duo Mary Mary, and Jonathan McReynolds, a Chicago-based singer-songwriter, are both recognized as leading voices in contemporary gospel music. Both artists have won Grammy Awards in the gospel category.

The FolkLIVE series runs throughout the summer and features performances across multiple genres.
