Revival Spreads at Texas Universities as Hundreds Accept Christ

Campus revival is spreading across Texas. Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries reported that more than 500 students accepted Christ at Stephen F. Austin State University during events held in April 2026. Another 80 students made decisions at Abilene Christian University.

The ministry, which focuses on university outreach, drew large crowds at both campuses. Organizers said the response exceeded expectations and pointed to a growing hunger for faith among college-age students.

Separately, "Reach Cancun" volunteers reported similar results in Mexico, where outreach efforts at beach resort areas led to several conversions and 22 baptisms.

These reports come as Christian organizations across the country note increased interest in faith among young adults. Campus ministries say attendance at Bible studies and worship events has climbed over the past year.

Jay Lowder, who founded the ministry, said the Texas results reflect what his team has seen building for months. "Students are asking real questions about faith, purpose, and what they believe," he said. "We're seeing genuine responses."

The ministry plans additional campus events through the spring semester.
