Feucht said his team was unaware of the Muslim procession before arriving. He later described the moment as marching "right through them just declaring the name of Jesus."

He claimed participants in the Muslim march were shouting anti-Christian verses and said the event showed an attempt to have the city "bow to Allah." He also criticized American churches as "asleep" for failing to recognize what he called the growing influence of Islam in the United States.

The Arbaeen Procession is a non-political, permitted event held annually in cities around the world. Organizers said the Chicago gathering was peaceful and had nothing to do with Feucht's group.
