Tehillah Music Group announced on July 28, 2026, that it has signed gospel artist Courtney Franklin to its talent roster. Franklin, widely known in gospel circles as "The Ad Lib King," is a veteran vocalist and the founder and senior pastor of The Power Spot Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
Tehillah Music Group president Jerry Parries said the partnership was formed to support Franklin's transition into a more prominent role as a solo artist. Parries noted Franklin's long history of supporting other artists in the industry.
Franklin's career spans decades of collaboration with some of gospel music's biggest names, including Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, Kurt Carr, and Kim Burrell. He also served with James Fortune's group, FIYA. His career gained momentum in the 1990s after he performed the hit single "I Believe" with Lisa Page Brooks, which preceded his 2002 debut album, "Time."
Franklin leads The Power Spot Church alongside his wife, Kanesha Franklin.
New musical projects from the Tehillah partnership are expected to be released at the beginning of 2027.
