The Hyssongs Release Debut Single with Horizon Records: 'Good News Savior'

The Hyssongs released their debut single with Horizon Records on May 1, 2026. The song is called "Good News Savior" and features Richard Hyssong on lead vocals, with his wife Kelly and father Dell Hyssong providing supporting vocals.

Award-winning producer Jeff Collins handled production, playing piano on the track. The arrangement builds from smooth, syncopated verses to stronger, more direct choruses.

"Every time I turn on the television, it seems like they are always reporting bad news," Richard Hyssong said. "Sometimes people seem hopeless and discouraged. However, we have a 'Good News Savior' in a bad news world."

The song's chorus reflects that message directly: "He's a good news Savior when you need him most / He's a headline maker writing words of hope / He's a truth defender when the rumors swirl / He's a good news Savior in a bad news world."

The Hyssongs have been performing together as a family for 29 years. Their ministry combines family vocal harmony, humor, and brass instruments, including trumpet and trombone. The group won the Singing News Fan Award for Favorite New Trio in 2014 and has appeared in the annual Top Ten Trios list every year since.

Previous chart-topping songs include "Choose Life," which reached number one on the Singing News Radio Charts, along with "There Is A God," "Run The Race," and "I Tell Them Jesus."

The debut with Horizon Records marks a new chapter for the group. The single is available now on major streaming platforms.
