Tyler Perry's new Netflix musical drama, "The Gospel of Christmas," is set to premiere on November 11, 2026, featuring one of the largest gatherings of gospel music legends ever assembled for a film.

The movie centers on a struggling pastor named Isaac, played by Durrell "Tank" Babbs, and his wife Rebecca, portrayed by Fantasia Barrino, as they work to save their family's church in a New York City neighborhood during the holiday season. Kirk Franklin produced the film's soundtrack.

The cast includes CeCe Winans as Mrs. Johnson, Yolanda Adams as Gloria, Fred Hammond as Abraham, Shirley Caesar as May, Jekalyn Carr as Lilly, Smokie Norful as Peter, Hezekiah Walker as Matthew, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Ann Nesby as Sarah, and The Clark Sisters, including Jacky Clark Chisholm, Twinkie Clark, and Dorinda Clark.

Jekalyn Carr confirmed her participation via social media, sharing behind-the-scenes content from the production. The film was written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry.

The project arrives as Kirk Franklin is also preparing to release his 14th solo studio album, "I Am What I Am," on October 30, 2026. Franklin's collaboration with rapper GloRilla on the single "This Time" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart in October, marking his record-extending 10th No. 1 hit on that chart.

"The Gospel of Christmas" is available for streaming on Netflix beginning November 11, 2026.
