ASML Posts Record Q3 Revenue of 11.7 Billion Euros as AI Chip Demand Extends to 2030
ASML reported record third-quarter revenue of 11.7 billion euros on October 14, 2026, driven by surging demand for semiconductor manufacturing equipment tied to artificial intelligence. The company raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between 44 and 45 billion euros. CEO Christophe Fouquet said customer demand now extends into 2029 and 2030, an unusual degree of long-term visibility for the industry.
ASML reported record third-quarter revenue of 11.7 billion euros on October 14, 2026, beating analyst expectations and raising its full-year guidance as demand for semiconductor manufacturing equipment continues to surge.
Net income for the quarter reached 5 billion euros, which included a 500 million euro gain from the revaluation of the company's investment in Mistral AI. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $14.65, well above the Wall Street consensus of $12.13. The company's gross margin hit a record 57.5%.
ASML is the world's sole supplier of extreme ultraviolet lithography machines, which are essential for producing the most advanced chips used in artificial intelligence applications. The company's results reflect the massive capital spending by technology companies on AI infrastructure.
CEO Christophe Fouquet said customer demand has reached a scale that extends well beyond traditional semiconductor cycles. Customers are now placing orders for equipment to be delivered in 2029 and 2030, a level of long-term visibility that is highly unusual in the industrial sector.
ASML raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between 44 billion and 45 billion euros. For the fourth quarter, the company projected net sales of between 14.2 billion and 15.2 billion euros.
Despite the record results, ASML shares fell about 1.86% in regular trading on October 14, with analysts suggesting investors had already priced in much of the reported strength.
The company said its planned capacity expansions for 2027 and 2028 will likely be insufficient to meet rising customer demand and is evaluating further expansion measures.
