Black Health Matters Foundation Launches ''Our Health Our Wellness'' Campaign Targeting Six Priority Health Areas
The Black Health Matters Foundation (BHMF) launched its national ''Our Health Our Wellness'' (OHOW) campaign in April 2026, targeting Alzheimer''s, cancer, chronic kidney disease, heart health, mental health, and vaccinations in under-resourced communities. The campaign kicked off at the American Cardiology Conference in New Orleans and includes a series of webinars through April.

The Black Health Matters Foundation (BHMF) has launched a full national campaign called "Our Health Our Wellness" (OHOW) in April 2026, aimed at improving health outcomes and empowering under-resourced communities through prevention, intervention, and increased access to resources.
The campaign addresses six priority health areas that significantly impact Americans, particularly communities of color:
- **Alzheimer''s Disease**, addressing the disproportionate impact on Black Americans, who are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer''s
- **Cancer**, focusing on prevention and early detection
- **Chronic Kidney Disease**, raising awareness about risk factors and management
- **Heart Health**, covering cholesterol, diabetes, and hypertension
- **Mental Health**, reducing stigma and increasing access to care
- **Vaccinations**, promoting immunization schedules and combating misinformation
The campaign provides health information in both English and Spanish to expand access and literacy among diverse populations.
