Covenant Communion Network Launches to Unite Orthodox Pastors

A new coalition called the Covenant Communion Network launched this summer, drawing pastors and congregations who want to stand firm on historic Christian orthodoxy and biblical authority.

The network formed amid ongoing debates within mainline and evangelical denominations over issues including biblical inerrancy, sexuality, and the nature of salvation. Organizers say the group is not a denomination but a fellowship structure, offering shared resources, accountability, and theological training.

"We are not trying to build another institution," one founding pastor said. "We are trying to give faithful churches a place to stand together."

The network has already attracted congregations from several states, with more expected to join in the coming months. Membership requires agreement with a statement of faith rooted in the historic creeds and confessions of the Christian church.

Leaders say the Covenant Communion Network will hold its first national gathering in early 2027, with regional meetings planned before then. The group is also developing a mentorship program to connect younger pastors with experienced church leaders.

The launch comes as several major denominations continue to lose congregations over theological disagreements. Observers say networks like this one are filling a gap for churches that want connection without the bureaucracy of a formal denomination.

The network's website went live this month, offering a directory of member churches and a library of theological resources.
