Daywind Music Group Artists Win 12 Awards at 25th Annual Absolutely Gospel Music Awards
Daywind Music Group artists took home 12 awards at the 25th annual Absolutely Gospel Music Awards on May 5 in Columbia, Tennessee. Joseph Habedank won Fan Favorite Artist. Lanny Wolfe received the Cornerstone Award for his decades of impact on gospel music.
Daywind Music Group had a strong night at the 25th annual Absolutely Gospel Music Awards, held May 5 at The Mulehouse Theater in Columbia, Tennessee.
Artists and songwriters connected to the label won 12 awards across multiple categories. Joseph Habedank, who co-hosted the event with Gary Chapman, took home the Fan Favorite Artist award.
Autumn Nelon won Southern Roots Single of the Year for her debut single "God Won't," recorded with The Isaacs. The LeFevre Quartet won Southern Gospel and Southern Roots Group of the Year. Karen Peck was named Progressive Female Artist of the Year, and Karen Peck and New River won Progressive Group of the Year.
The evening's most emotional moment came when legendary songwriter Lanny Wolfe received the Cornerstone Award. Wolfe's songs have been sung in churches across the country for decades. The night closed with an all-star performance of his song "God's Wonderful People."
Other Daywind-connected winners included Chuck Wagon Gang, Grascals, Scotty Inman, Southbound, Sue C. Smith, Lee Park Worship, and Channing Eleton.
The Absolutely Gospel Music Awards recognize artists in Southern Gospel, Southern Roots, Progressive, Progressive Country, and Bluegrass gospel music.
