Gospel Stars Join Tyler Perry's 'The Gospel of Christmas' on Netflix, Arriving November 11

Tyler Perry's "The Gospel of Christmas" will premiere on Netflix on November 11, 2026. The faith-centered holiday film features one of the largest ensembles of gospel artists ever assembled for a major streaming production.

The cast includes CeCe Winans as Mrs. Johnson, Yolanda Adams as Gloria, Pastor Shirley Caesar as May, Fred Hammond as Abraham, Ann Nesby as Sarah, Smokie Norful as Peter, and Hezekiah Walker as Matthew. Jekalyn Carr plays Lilly, and all four members of The Clark Sisters, including Jacky Clark Chisholm, Twinkie Clark, Dorinda Clark, and Karen Clark Sheard, appear in the film. Chanté Moore, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Le'Andria Johnson, John Gray, and Carl Lentz round out the supporting cast.

Fantasia Barrino and Durrell "Tank" Babbs star as Rebecca and Isaac, a married couple navigating faith and doubt as Isaac inherits his family's church in a struggling New York City neighborhood. The story centers on his effort to save the community while facing temptation and a "sinister adversary."

Kirk Franklin produced the soundtrack, which blends contemporary gospel, classic gospel, rap, and holiday music. Perry wrote and directed the project, his first holiday title under a multi-year creative partnership with Netflix.

The film is rated TV-PG and arrives as the second of three Netflix holiday films in consecutive weeks during November 2026, following "A Dog's Perfect Christmas" on November 4 and preceding "Guarding Stars" on November 18.

The Gospel of Christmas is available to stream globally on Netflix starting November 11.
