The album release was celebrated with a live event at the House of Joy, located at 3220 Central Parkway in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event drew fans and fellow artists who gathered to mark the completion of a project Benefield describes as a testimony of faith and gratitude.

Benefield has an extensive musical background spanning gospel, soul, funk, and pop. He has performed or collaborated with artists including Bootsy Collins, George Clinton, Peter Frampton, Diana Ross, Edwin Hawkins, and Shirley Caesar.

Great Things is available for streaming and purchase on major digital platforms. The album centers on themes of faith, reflection, and spiritual encouragement, drawing from Benefield's personal journey and ministry experience.

The release adds to a busy July for gospel music. Tyscot Records, one of the oldest Black-owned gospel labels in the country, is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary later in the month. A Legends of Gospel residency was also announced for Las Vegas, featuring The Clark Sisters, Deitrick Haddon, and Fred Hammond.
