Josiah Queen Releases Third Studio Album Damascus Road, Wins Song of the Year at Dove Awards
Gospel artist Josiah Queen released his third studio album, Damascus Road, on October 23, 2026, the same week his song "Dusty Bibles" won Song of the Year at the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The album marks a creative shift for Queen, blending traditional gospel with contemporary production.
Gospel artist Josiah Queen released his third studio album, Damascus Road, on October 23, 2026. The release came days after his song "Dusty Bibles" won Song of the Year at the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards in Nashville.
Queen wrote "Dusty Bibles" as a call to Christians who have drifted from regular Bible reading. The song spent several weeks at the top of gospel radio charts before the Dove Awards ceremony.
Damascus Road features 12 tracks and includes collaborations with several gospel artists. Queen described the album as his most personal project to date. "Every song on this record came from a real moment in my life," he said in a press release. "I wanted people to hear the struggle and the breakthrough."
The album's title references the biblical account of the apostle Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus. Queen said the theme of unexpected transformation runs through every track.
Queen, who is based in Atlanta, has been a rising voice in gospel music since his debut album in 2021. His second album earned him two Stellar Award nominations. Damascus Road is his first release on a major gospel label.
The Dove Awards ceremony aired on TBN on October 9, 2026. Phil Wickham won Artist of the Year at the same event. Daywind Music Group also celebrated multiple honors at the ceremony.
Queen is scheduled to begin a national tour in support of Damascus Road in January 2027.
