Kelontae Gavin's Gospel Song "At the Meeting" Tops One Billion TikTok Views

<p>Gospel vocalist Kelontae Gavin is celebrating more than one billion TikTok views for his South Carolina Lowcountry song "At the Meeting," released through Kelontae Gavin Enterprise, Inc. and Tyscot Records. The milestone makes it one of the most-viewed gospel songs in TikTok history.</p>

<p>The song sparked a viral trend in which church members, particularly women in long Sunday dresses, filmed themselves dancing to the track. Thousands of videos using the audio have appeared across TikTok and Instagram, turning the traditional-sounding song into a cross-cultural social media moment.</p>

<p>"It's a low country banger," Gavin said. "People were getting dressed for church and started using the snippet that I sang live to show what they were wearing that day. I'm excited that this is the first traditional sounding single I've ever put out because it's my roots and it's my home."</p>

<p>Gavin performed "At the Meeting" at the 41st annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, which aired on BET over the Labor Day weekend. He was joined on stage by quartet legends Melvin Williams of The Williams Brothers and Paul Porter of The Christianaires. The audience responded so enthusiastically that the trio returned for a brief reprise after finishing the song.</p>

<p>The track debuted at No. 27 on the Mediabase Gospel Airplay chart. Gavin is now producing an official music video and has invited fans to submit their own TikTok or Instagram clips using the song's audio with the hashtag #ATMFANVIDEO. Selected submissions will appear in the final video.</p>

<p>Gavin's career began in 2014 when a cafeteria worker filmed him singing "I Won't Complain" at his high school. That video went viral and earned him a recording contract with Tyscot Records. He has since scored three Billboard No. 1 Gospel Airplay singles and accumulated more than 125 million digital streams across his catalog.</p>
