Kirk Franklin and Karen Clark Sheard Release New Single Thank You For Everything

Kirk Franklin and Karen Clark Sheard released "Thank You For Everything" on August 28, 2026, under Fo Yo Soul Recordings and TRIBL Music Group, LLC, in exclusive license to Uptown Records.

Franklin wrote and produced the track, with co-production from Adam Blackstone. The song is built around a cinematic piano melody and features a full gospel choir.

Two days after its release, Franklin performed the song live at the 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he also served as host. The live debut gave the track immediate visibility with gospel music's core audience.

Karen Clark Sheard is one of the most recognized voices in gospel music. She is a member of the Clark Sisters, a group that has shaped the sound of Black gospel for more than four decades. Her collaboration with Franklin brings together two of the genre's most celebrated figures.

Franklin has been one of gospel music's most consistent hitmakers since the 1990s. His albums and productions have won multiple Grammy Awards and have crossed over into mainstream radio.

As of early September 2026, "Thank You For Everything" is gaining traction on gospel radio charts. Black Gospel Radio reported the song is experiencing a rapid ascent in the weeks following its release.
