Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard Lead 2026 Gospel GRAMMY Nominees
The 2026 GRAMMY nominees in gospel and Christian music categories were announced in November 2025, with Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and Jonathan McReynolds among the top contenders. The nominations reflect a strong year for gospel music across multiple styles.

Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and Jonathan McReynolds are among the leading nominees in the gospel and Christian music categories for the 2026 GRAMMYs, with nominations announced by the Recording Academy in November 2025.
Franklin is nominated for Best Gospel Performance/Song for "Do It Again." Cobbs Leonard received a nomination for "Church," a collaboration with John Legend. McReynolds is nominated for "Still (Live)," recorded with Jamal Roberts.
Other nominees in the Best Gospel Performance/Song category include Pastor Mike Jr. for "Amen" and CeCe Winans for "Come Jesus Come," featuring Shirley Caesar.
In the Best Gospel Album category, Yolanda Adams, Tamela Mann, and Tye Tribbett are all nominated. Tribbett's album "Only On The Road (Live)" and Mann's "Live Breathe Fight" are considered strong contenders.
The Best Contemporary Christian Music categories feature Brandon Lake, Lecrae, and Elevation Worship. Lake received two nominations, including one for "Hard Fought Hallelujah," a collaboration with country artist Jelly Roll.
Lecrae's album "Reconstruction" is nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album alongside Brandon Lake's "King Of Hearts" and Tauren Wells' "Let The Church Sing."
The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Gaither Vocal Band, and Candi Staton are among the nominees in the Best Roots Gospel Album category.
The 2026 GRAMMY ceremony is scheduled for early 2026. The Gospel Music Association also reminded fans in May 2026 not to miss the AGM Music Awards.
