Morton Records Enters New Distribution Deal With SRG-ILS Group

Morton Records has entered a new distribution agreement with SRG-ILS Group, a move that expands the gospel label's reach across digital and physical markets. The deal was announced in August 2026 as part of a wave of new partnerships reshaping the gospel music industry.

SRG-ILS Group is an independent music distribution and label services company with a broad catalog spanning multiple genres. The partnership gives Morton Records access to SRG-ILS's distribution infrastructure and marketing resources, which could help the label grow its presence on streaming platforms and in retail.

Morton Records has been a fixture in gospel music for decades, releasing music from artists connected to Bishop Paul S. Morton and the broader Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. The label's catalog includes traditional gospel, contemporary gospel, and praise and worship recordings.

The deal comes as gospel music continues to attract mainstream attention. Kelontae Gavin's "At the Meeting" recently surpassed one billion TikTok views, and the 41st Stellar Gospel Music Awards drew significant viewership on BET. Industry observers say the genre is drawing new investment from distribution companies looking to tap into its loyal and growing audience.

Financial terms of the Morton Records and SRG-ILS agreement were not disclosed. The label said it expects the partnership to support upcoming releases from its current roster.
