NBCI Launches Marriage Video Series and Art Guide for Black Church Communities
The National Black Church Initiative launched a new marriage video series called 'Keep Your Wife on Your Team' and announced an upcoming Art and Theatre guide covering Black theatrical performances, as part of its April 2026 programming.
The National Black Church Initiative launched a new marriage video series on April 20, 2026, titled "Keep Your Wife on Your Team," as part of its ongoing programming for Black church communities across the country.
The series is available on YouTube and is designed to offer practical guidance for married couples within the faith community. NBCI said the videos address communication, partnership, and spiritual alignment in marriage.
The organization also announced plans to release a new Art and Theatre guide covering Black theatrical performances. The guide will be distributed to NBCI's network of 150,000 African American churches, which collectively represent 27.7 million members.
NBCI president Rev. Anthony Evans said the initiative reflects the organization's commitment to strengthening families and celebrating Black cultural expression. "The church has always been a center of community life," Evans said. "These resources extend that role into everyday family and cultural life."
The April programming also includes the April 19 launch of a "Vaccines Are Good for America" social media campaign and the April 25 rollout of a Parkinson Brain Health awareness campaign. NBCI formally launched the African American Parkinson's Patient Advocacy Organization on April 9.
The organization has also released a proposal for the Black Beautiful Babies Campaign, aimed at addressing the nation's Black maternal health crisis. NBCI said the campaign will focus on reducing maternal mortality rates and improving prenatal care access in underserved communities.
