Gospel Hall of Famer Stephen Hurd Signs With Bishop Paul Morton's Tehillah Music Group

Worship leader Stephen Hurd signed with Tehillah Music Group in May 2026, joining a label led by Bishop Paul S. Morton. Hurd, who was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2025, is known for anthems including "Zion is Calling" and "Revelations 19:1." A new album is expected later in 2026.

<p>Worship leader Stephen Hurd signed with Tehillah Music Group in May 2026, joining the label founded and led by Bishop Paul S. Morton. The signing was announced on May 6, 2026, and is focused on the production and release of a new Hurd album expected later this year.</p>

<p>Bishop Morton described Hurd as "THE GREAT Stephen Hurd" in announcing the deal. Label head Jerry Q. Parries called Hurd a "jewel" in the praise and worship genre. Hurd said he was excited about the partnership, comparing his enthusiasm to being "like a kid in the candy store."</p>

<p>Hurd is a veteran of the gospel music industry with a career spanning nearly 30 years. He is known for anthems including "Zion is Calling," "Let it Rise," and the globally recognized "Revelations 19:1 (Live)." He holds a degree in Music Business from Howard University and an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from Wayland Theological Seminary. He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2025.</p>

<p>The signing follows Tehillah Music Group's recent success with Bishop Morton's album "Fall in the Mist: 50 Year Celebration," which featured contributions from Jasmine Morton-Robinson and PJ Morton. The label also recently signed Courtney Franklin to its roster.</p>

<p>Hurd's addition gives Tehillah Music Group a strong presence in the traditional praise and worship space as the label continues to expand its artist lineup.</p>
