Index Ventures Raises 2 Billion Dollars Across Three New Funds After Wiz Exit
Index Ventures announced a 2 billion dollar fundraise across three funds in July 2026, including a 400 million dollar seed fund, a 900 million dollar venture fund, and a 700 million dollar addition to its growth fund. The raise follows the firm's payout from the 32 billion dollar acquisition of cybersecurity firm Wiz by Alphabet.
Index Ventures announced on July 31, 2026, that it raised 2 billion dollars across three new funds, bringing its total available investment capacity to 3.5 billion dollars.
The capital is split across three vehicles: a 400 million dollar seed fund, a 900 million dollar main venture fund, and a 700 million dollar addition to an existing growth fund originally launched in 2024 with 1.5 billion dollars. The growth fund now totals 2.2 billion dollars.
The fundraise follows a strong period of portfolio performance. Index Ventures held a 12 percent stake in cybersecurity firm Wiz, which Alphabet acquired for 32 billion dollars. That position was estimated to be worth approximately 3.8 billion dollars. The firm also benefited from its early investment in Figma, which went public in 2025, and its long-standing support of fintech company Revolut.
Index Ventures plans to use the capital to support companies from seed through growth stages. The firm is focused on the artificial intelligence ecosystem, with recent investments in Physical Intelligence, Fireworks AI, and Anthropic.
The firm maintains a strategy of full-stage coverage and geographical neutrality, positioning itself to capture opportunities in AI-driven infrastructure, cybersecurity, and fintech despite a broader venture capital liquidity squeeze.
