Walmart Cuts Prices on 150 Health and Wellness Products and Launches Wellness Minis
Walmart announced price reductions on more than 150 health and wellness products in July 2026 and introduced Wellness Minis, a line of trial-sized health items starting at $2. The retailer is rolling out the smaller-format products across approximately 2,000 stores and online.

Walmart cut prices on more than 150 health and wellness products in July 2026 and launched a new line of trial-sized items called Wellness Minis, starting at $2. The Wellness Minis are available in roughly 2,000 stores and online, giving shoppers a lower-cost way to try products before buying full-sized versions.
The price reductions are part of a broader summer savings push at Walmart and Sam's Club that includes thousands of rollbacks across groceries, household essentials, toys, and apparel.
Analysts noted that Walmart's ability to fund these cuts is supported by significant financial flexibility, including more than $2 billion in tariff refunds from the U.S. government that the company is directing toward store-level discounts.
The moves are intensifying competition among major retailers. Industry observers say the price cuts could trigger further reductions at Kroger, Target, and other grocery chains.
The Vitamin Shoppe released its own 2026 trend report the same month, identifying five key shifts in consumer health behavior: a "fibermaxxing" movement focused on fiber intake, growing interest in daily liver support rather than periodic detoxes, demand for trademarked supplement ingredients, a push for radical transparency in product labeling, and flavor innovation in supplements.
Hy-Vee also launched a GLP-1 wellness program in July to align with the federal Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program, which runs through late 2027. GLP-1 medications, originally developed for diabetes, have gained wide use for weight management and cardiovascular health.
